When I heard the high pitched sound coming from my engine, I knew I needed to make an appointment at Monkey Wrenches. Rima is not only friendly and helpful, she has some knowledge about cars and gave me an idea what to expect timewise while they had my car. I was so thankful for my appointment the following week when it worked for me as a dashboard light came on when I left to bring in my car. As it turned out, my alternator died which wasn't the high pitched whine, but Marcelo fixed the alternator and belts which enabled him to diagnose the whine. I was told what that issue was and that it didn't need to be fixed right away, my option to do it while they had my car or at a later date. I appreciate their honesty and giving me the choice on when the work could be done. I chose while they had it: my convenience and peace of mind that it was fixed! I have been going to Monkey Wrenches for at least 20 years now. I found them and stayed because they never tried to take advantage of me being a female. Other shops in the area tried to take advantage of me 20 years ago. I have been a happy customer ever since. I get honest assessments of what need work. The work done on my car is professional and completed correctly. Their advice on what the car needs is a plus and never takes advantage. I have seen different staff people come and go as well as three owners over time. Each time I was treated fairly and honestly. Their mechanics know their stuff. Ted, the owner, was also a mechanic prior, so he knows the business. I appreciate their professionalism, honesty, and mechanical skills. Look no further. On my opinion you have found the best as it was and still use the best fit for me and my family. My only wish is that they bring back the shuttle service. But that might be a thing of the now distant past.
